Meet the Team
Executive
TU Dublin Students Union (SU) Executive is made up of eight full-time officers, undertaking specific duties and responsibilities in targeted areas that seek to promote and advocate for students. With the President as the overall chief spokesperson of the Union, four other overall roles work under the remit of the President representing students in their work area, these are: the VP for Academic Affairs, VP for Events and Engagement, VP for Communications and Media and VP for Welfare and Equality.
The final three positions within the Executive are geographically-based, whom represent, but are not exclusive to, the three core campus areas of TU Dublin. These geographically-based Officers are known as: Campus VP for Blanchardstown Campus, Campus VP for City Campus and Campus VP for Tallaght Campus.

Immanuella recently completed her LLB law degree at the Grangegorman campus. She started off her academic career through the Access Foundation Program where she also took the role of an Access student leader in her last year of studies. She was also a class representative in her first year as well as a councillor. Alongside that, she occupied various positions in several society committees. Immanuella's main objectives this year are to ensure there equal academic opportunities for the students, as well as a celebration of different cultures which will help to enrich the general culture of this distinguished institution.

VP for Academic Affairs
Yogesh Gupta
He/Him
Yogesh Gupta
Yogesh is the VP for Academic Affairs for the 2025/2026 academic year at TU Dublin. He is currently completing his master’s degree in Technology and Innovation Management at TU Dublin, where he has achieved 1.1 Honours to date. With a background in engineering and prior experience as a data engineer and Python developer, Yogesh brings both technical and leadership expertise into this role.
As a student, Yogesh has been an active representative: he served as Class Representative, Faculty Board Representative for the Faculty of Business, and a member of the Academic Quality Enhancement Committee. He also represented TU Dublin at the USI Congress 2025 and at international debate competitions, including the European Universities Debating Championship in Copenhagen.
In his current position, Yogesh is responsible for addressing students’ academic needs, ensuring their voices are heard at faculty and university levels, and working to improve academic policies, resources, and opportunities across TU Dublin. His focus is on creating a fair, supportive, and forward-looking academic environment for all students.
Fun Fact:Yogesh enjoys writing reflective poetry in his free time and has a love for engaging in deep discussions on innovation, society, and personal growth.

Jessica Gallagher
She/Her
General Manager
Jessica was appointed General Manager of TU Dublin Students Union (SU) in February of 2024.
Her core role is to support the work of the President and Officers in the achievement of their constitutional objectives, lead on the development and implementation of the Board’s strategic plan, in line with best practice and good corporate governance, and manage the staff and resources of the Union to ensure effective service delivery to students and collaborates closely with senior management in the University on various student initiatives.
Prior to her role in TU Dublin Students Union (SU), Jessica worked in number of NGO's in both management and senior management positions in the Homeless, and Older Persons sector.

Jason Aughney
He/Him
Events, Marketing and Communications Lead
Jason has served as the Events, Marketing, and Communications Lead for TU Dublin Students’ Union since 2018. With over a decade of professional experience in the third-level education sector, he plays a pivotal strategic role in overseeing the planning, coordination, and delivery of both on-campus and off-site events, managing all marketing activities and bookings, and directing the organisation’s internal and external communications. He provides comprehensive reporting and strategic insights directly to the General Manager.
In addition to these core functions, Jason is responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of existing student services while proactively identifying, evaluating, and developing potential new service offerings to enhance the student experience. He provides essential support to the Events and Engagement Officer and works closely with the Students’ Union President to ensure alignment with the Union’s communication priorities and organisational objectives.
Before joining TU Dublin Students’ Union, Jason served for four years as Students’ Union President at the Institute of Technology Blanchardstown. He subsequently transitioned to the corporate sector, taking on a role with eBay where he further developed his professional and organisational skill set.
Jason holds a BA in Business Management from TU Dublin.

Caroline Fabry
She/Her
Operations and Finance Lead
Caroline Fabry was appointed Operations and Finance Lead in the TU Dublin SU since 2021. Her role includes supporting the board of directors of the TU Dublin SU CLG for all their meetings, committees, and subcommittees. Her role is multifaced and also includes HR support to both operational staff and elected sabbatical officers.
Before joining the Students Union, Caroline worked for a non-profit in the homelessness sector as project manager and in an international NGO in fundraising. She holds a master’s degree in Political Sciences.

John Moloney
Academic Affairs & Representation Lead
John joined TUDSU as our Academic Affairs & Representation Lead in February 2025. He is a key contributor in enhancing the academic environment at TU Dublin by representing student needs. His instrumental role drives educational quality and stimulates student involvement, resulting in a more fulfilling experience for all individuals.
Before joining TUDSU, John was heavily involved in the English Language sector and managed English Language schools. John possesses a Master’s in Applied Linguistics which significantly aids the Union to grammatically and pragmatically get their communication across in a manner that is inclusive and represents all students’ backgrounds and voices.

Gillian McInerney
She/They
Welfare, Equality and Advice Lead
Gillian joined TU Dublin SU in August 2024, working first as the Grangegorman Student Advisor before becoming the Welfare, Equality, and Advice Lead in December 2025.
Her main roles include the effective delivery of welfare, equality, and advice services for students, leading the student advisor team, and supporting the elected officials with policy initiatives and campaigns.
Gillian holds a BA in Contemporary Culture and Society from DCU and has spent many years working in the charities sector for helplines and providing training on various topics, including LGBTQIA+ Awareness, Self Care, and Sexual Health.

John Alinas
Services and Events Executive
John joined the TU Dublin Students Union (SU) team as the Events & Services Executive in 2023. John's role supports the running of key commercial services of the Union through our TUDSU+ service across our 5 different locations. If you need Leapcards, class hoodies, branded sweaters, merch or some just some craic John is your man! Alongside the elected officers John also aides in the rolling out of our hectic events schedule.
Previously John has managed projects, operations, marketing and events for numerous organisations in the Higher Education sector. In his spare time John nourishes his passion for content creation and photography.

Lisa Kuzmina
Finance Executive
Lisa Kuzmina joined the TU Dublin Students Union (SU) in 2024 as Finance Executive. Her main role is to contribute to the financial management of the Students’ Union ensuring that key stakeholders are aware of and comply with their financial responsibilities and the finance procedures and controls in place.
Her main responsibilities relate to maintaining and preparing monthly financial management reports and annual accounts to provide the Operations and Finance Lead, the General Manager, the Board and the team of full-time Officers with timely and accurate financial information to enable the achievement of agreed budgets and ensure that well informed decisions are taken where there are specific financial implications.
Lisa is a graduate of Dundalk Institute of Technology and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance. She has over 15 years of experience and prior to joining the Students' Union, she held finance positions in a variety of sectors, including working as a senior auditor in several accounting firms and as a senior accountant in a number of US multinational companies.

Louise Newberry

Aungier Street Campus Student Advisor
Louise joined TU Dublin SU as a Student Advisor for Aungier Street Campus in November 2025.
Louise is responsible for providing students with front-line information and advice, in-person and via email/TUDSU social media, covering Education and Welfare matters. She ensures that advice is accurate and in compliance with TU Dublin SU CLG policies and procedures. Louise also oversees the administration of the Class Rep system and local democracy (including elections) on the Aungier Street Campus.
Before joining TU Dublin SU, Louise advocated for students at her university as a Welfare Officer and worked with international summer schools. She has an interest in all aspects of student welfare and student politics, as well as experience in providing training and support for issues that affect students today. Louise also holds a BA in English Literature from Durham University.

Trish Cullen
Bolton Street Student Advisor
Trish Cullen has been a Student Advisor of TU Dublin SU CLG, (previously Dublin Institute of Technology SU CLG) since 2012.
Trish is responsible for front-line information and advice service in Education & Welfare for students on campus. Trish is responsible for the provision of accurate and appropriate advice and information to students in relation to welfare and education matters, in line with TU Dublin SU CLG policies and practice in terms of confidentiality, boundaries, record-keeping and excellent customer service.
Trish is also responsible for the administration of the Class Rep system and local democracy (including elections) on the Bolton Street Campus.

Molly Crawford

Grangegorman Campus Student Advisor
Molly began working as a Student Advisor for the Grangegorman Campus in December 2025.
Molly is responsible for providing students with front line information and advice in relation to education and welfare matters, ensuring advice is appropriate, confidential and complies with TU Dublin SU CLG policies and procedures. Molly also supervises the administration of the Class Rep system and local democracy (including elections) on the Grangegorman campus.
Prior to joining TU Dublin SU, Molly worked in student facing welfare roles in both international summer schools and universities. She also has a background in the not-for-profit sector, volunteering with LGBTQ+ and migrant communities. Additionally, Molly holds as BA in Middle Eastern and European Languages and Cultures from Trinity College Dublin.

Barbara Murray
Tallaght Campus Student Advisor
Barbara Murray has been a Student Advisor of TU Dublin SU CLG, since March 2024. Before joining the Students' Union, Barbara worked for South Dublin County Council as well as many educational institutes.
Barbara is responsible for front-line information and providing an advice service for students on Tallaght campus. Barbara is responsible for the provision of accurate and appropriate advice and information to students in relation to welfare and education matters, in line with TU Dublin SU CLG policies and practice in terms of confidentiality, boundaries, record-keeping and excellent customer service.
Barbara is also responsible for the administration of the Class Rep system and local democracy (including elections) on the Tallaght Campus.

Darragh O’Meara

Blanchardstown Campus Student Advisor
Darragh began working as a Student Advisor for the Blanchardstown Campus in 2023.
Darragh is responsible for providing the students on Campus with front line information and advice. In line with TU Dublin SU CLG policies and procedures, Darragh will deal with any queries student may have regarding Education and Welfare matters on campus.
Previous to joining TU Dublin SU, Darragh was employed as a Societies & Student Volunteering Development Intern on the Blanchardstown Campus. Darragh also holds a BA in Sports Management & Coaching from TU Dublin and is responsible for the administration of the Class Rep system and local democracy (including elections) on the Blanchardstown Campus.

Emer Kington
Communications Executive
Emer Kington joined the team in 2022, as Communications Executive.
In her role she is responsible for all internal and external communication plans and managing digital media platforms. These platforms include Social Media channels, the Website, Email Marketing and the Monthly Newsletter. Emer is the key contact for media queries, as well as creating Press Releases and facilitating photoshoots, video interviews and phone interviews for the elected officers. Some bigger projects she is also responsible for is working on updating strategies, brand development and a website redevelopment plan for 2024.
Emer has a BA in Digital Media and Business, and has been working in higher education since 2021.

Sharanya Suresh
Democracy & Representation Executive
Shay Suresh began working as Democracy & Representation Executive for TU Dublin Students’ Union in January of 2026.
Shay is responsible for supporting the democratic and representative functions of the Students’ Union, working to strengthen student engagement and participation across TU Dublin. Her role includes supporting Student Council, coordinating union elections and democratic processes, assisting with the development of the Class Rep system, and helping ensure that student voices are effectively represented within university structures and decision-making processes.
Prior to joining TU Dublin SU, Shay worked in a variety of student-facing, advocacy, and communications roles across educational and non-profit settings. She has experience supporting community engagement initiatives, social justice and equity projects, and student wellbeing programmes, including work with refugee support organisations and youth-focused advocacy initiatives. Shay has also contributed to research projects focused on inequality, identity, and representation through academic and policy-oriented work.
In addition, Shay holds a BA in Government and Literature from Claremont McKenna College and an MSc in Public Policy from Dublin City University.

Those are 4 students elected by Student Council for the Academic Year. Any TU Dublin student can apply by filing out a nomination form in the spring for the following academic year. Candidates are then voted on by Student Council. Among those 4 students, one must be studying at Blanchardstown Campus (vacant), one at Tallaght Campus and two at City Campus.

Naira Fatima
Naira is a first-year International Business student at Tallaght campus and a public relations officer of the Islamic society (ISOC). She has worked alongside the chaplain supporting the food pantry and currently serving as an Assistant Lead. She is passionate about volunteering and is always eager to get involved in the community, contributing wherever she can.

Tehreem Cheema
Tehreem is a final year Computing student at TU Dublin. Alongside her role as a Student Director, she has worked as a Lead Student Ambassador, peer mentor and a representative for EU Careers on campus. Tehreem is actively involved in volunteering initiatives and student life events. She enjoys getting involved in hackathons, as well as hiking and travelling in her free time.

Karishma Lalit Koul
Karishma is a fourth-year Business and Management student and is passionate about student representation, leadership, and creating a positive impact within the university and wider community. Alongside her studies, Karishma has been actively involved in several student roles, including Peer Mentor, Class Representative, Student Council Member, Student Ambassador, and Student Director of TU Dublin SU CLG. She is also the Founder and President of the Interact Club of Kinship Walkers, a community-focused organisation dedicated to volunteering, fundraising, and supporting charitable causes.

Mikhail Martynov
Directors Selected Externally
The non-executive directors are selected externally to bring experience and other perspectives to the Board. They are selected through a recruitment and selection process monitored by the Nominations sub-committee, which is a sub-section of the Board. Non-executive directors are appointed by the Board in consultation with Student Council for a term of 3 years which can be renewed for a further period of 3 years. One of those 5 non-executive directors (1 vacancy) is appointed as Independent Chairperson of the Board.

Frank Crummey
Frank Crummey was appointed director of the Board in June 2021 and Chairperson in June 2025. He works in IT management and has over 15 years of experience in various senior IT management roles. He has a Degree in Computer Science and Software Engineering (DIT Kevin Street) and a Diploma in Legal Studies (DIT Aungier Street). Frank is a certified Data Protection Practitioner and has a Professional Certificate in Governance.
Frank was Chairperson of CLAY Youth Project in Crumlin from 2013 to 2020 and he now serves as a Director on the CLAY board. In December 2020, Frank was appointed to the board of Leargas by the Minister for Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science.

Ciaran Crosbie
Ciaran Crosbie was appointed director of the Board in December 2022. He has over 20 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry in roles across Quality Control, Operations, Continuous Improvement and Learning and Development and is currently Innovation and Learning Lead in Alexion Pharmaceuticals.
He has previously served as Deputy Convenor and Convenor of DIT Kevin Street Students’ Union during the establishment of the DIT Students’ Union. He holds BScs in Applied Biology and Technology Management from DIT and an MSc in Organisational Psychology from DCU.

Maebh Horan-Murphy
Maebh Horan-Murphy was appointed director of the Board in July 2024. She has over 15 years experience in the fields of Third Level Education & Communications and is currently an Education Technologist with the UCD School of Medicine.
Prior to TUD's formation, she held the position of Student Advisor in the DIT Mountjoy Square campus for just under 4 years. She holds a HND in Digital Media from BCFE and an MSc in Communications & Media from UCD.
Helen Ryan
Helen has been 25 years working in adult literacy. She held a number of roles with the National Adult Literacy Agency (NALA) and is currently on secondment to SOLAS (Further Education and Training State Agency). She is Health Lead for the 10-year Adult Literacy for Life Strategy.
Helen previously served two years as President and Deputy President of DIT Students’ Union. She was also an elected representative with the Union of Students in Ireland for two years: as Deputy President and Welfare Officer. Helen was on Board of Comhlamh and sat on the Parent Teacher Association in Shellybanks Educate Together National School.

Barry Cassidy
Barry Cassidy was appointed director of the Board in 2025. He is Managing Director of Independent Insight, a hospitality asset management and advisory firm, and owns and operates hospitality businesses across Ireland.
Barry has over 25 years’ experience in strategy, restructuring and operational performance, working with organisations in Ireland and internationally. He specialises in governance, commercial oversight and building sustainable business models.
He brings practical leadership experience and a strong focus on accountability, governance and long term decision making to the Board of TU Dublin Students’ Union.
