Sustainability

sustainability@tudublinsu.ie

I am Yvonnick Hessou, the elected 2024-2025 Sustainability Part-Time Officer. I am currently a 2nd-year student in sustainable energy engineering. My main goal as a TU Duvlin Students' Union PTO, is to raise greater awareness among student communities on the actions needed and actions we must mitigate to preserve our resources and environment.

Other than my studies, I am committed to Archery and Karate Shotokan.

I wish all the TU Dublin students perseverance in the coming academic year and success in their work.

Gender Equality

I am the Gender Equality PTO and a final-year law student. I have also been a member of the Student Council for the past two years. I hope to put my experience as an award-winning student activist to work over this coming year, and I'm excited to represent the students of TU Dublin in my position.

My main goals include raising awareness for domestic violence charities, supporting men’s mental health on campus, and aim to combat misogyny promoting positive change on campus.

Postgraduate

postgrad@tudublinsu.ie

I am an international student from Uganda currently pursuing a PHD in Public Relations and Strategic communications.

I am among the 2024/25 TU Dublin Elite sports scholarship holders. I hold a Master of Arts in Public Relations and Strategic Communications from TUD and an Advanced Diploma in Sports Psychology from the Behavioural Institute in Ireland. Before joining TU Dublin for my Ph.D. program, I worked in a law firm, child care centres, and Entertainment centres and have attended various international and national swimming meets as a Professional Athlete.

My key areas of work will focus on Postgraduate students and their welfare.

Fun Fact –  it isn't easy to surprise me.

Ethnic Diversity

ethnic.diversity@tudublinsu.ie

Hello everyone my name is Israel and I'm the Ethnic Inclusion Part-Time Officer at TU Dublin Students' Union. I am also representing as a Student Ambassador for both Microsoft and TU Dublin, currently studying Accounting and Finance.

What being an Ethnic Diversity Officer means to me is allowing those from underrepresented backgrounds to gain a sense of community, this is because we thrive by our willingness to learn and be open to diverse perspectives. We have a wonderful community in our university and have the power to make impact.

During my time here I worked with many companies, people, and organisations. I believe we can all make a difference no matter how small we think our impact would be.

Through empathy and understanding I hope to inspire others to pursue their goals.

Fun facts:

I am Myer Briggs INFJ - The Advocate

LGBTQ+ Rights

lgbtq.rights@tudublinsu.ie

I am a second-year student studying for a BSC in Human Nutrition and Dietetics. I am mainly based in TU Grangegorman, though due to the course being a joint honours between TU Dublin and Trinity College Dublin, I often spend time in St James's Hospital and on the Trinity Campus too.

Having been involved in sustainability, human rights action and youth work promotion, I am well versed in advocacy and driving for change.

I volunteer with a variety of organisations such as SpunOut and the National Youth Council of Ireland where working with and on behalf of young people is central.
