Electoral Commission currently has 4 vacancies for Student Members.

Please register your interest via the following Application Form - Here

  • Nominations Close: Tuesday, the 25th of November

  • Student Council Elections: Thursday, the 27th of November

What is the Electoral Commission?

Electoral Commission Election
The Constitution states: “The Union shall establish an Electoral Commission (the Commission) which shall regulate the operation of all elections, plebiscites, referenda, confirmation ballots or other ballots and advise on the schedules relating to elections.”

How to run for Electoral Commission:

There are 4 student seats on Electoral Commission. The Student Council elect the 4 student members. Any TU Dublin Student can run for Electoral Commission all you have to do is fill out the nomination form when it is open. 
In order to be elected nominees must attend the student council meeting to tell the council why you should be elected. Failure to attend without sending a speech will result in removal from the ballot.
