Polling Clerks
To run its annual elections in March 2025 to select your next team of Officers (Executive), TU Dublin SU will hire students to act as polling clerks. They will be working at numerous polling stations across campuses to hand over ballot papers to students and ensure that electoral processes are respected.
Polling Clerk Applications Now Open
As a Polling Clerk, you will be helping with the Elections to elect full-time and part-time officers for the next academic year. Polling Clerks work on different polling stations around TU Dublin Campuses and make sure that everything goes according to the regulations of Electoral Commission. This is an important role securing that the democratic functions of the Union work accordingly. You also get an interesting insight to how elections work!
Voting takes place on 11th - 13th March 2025. Polling Clerks are expected to work in 5-hour shifts. We are asking for your availability on those set dates. All Polling Clerks will also attend a mandatory training session on Monday 3rd March at 6pm in Bolton Street room BST117 for which they will get paid for. The rate of pay for Polling clerks is €14.80/h.
Please note that if you are running for a position in the Elections or are acting as a Campaign Manager for a Candidate, you cannot act as a Polling Clerk in the elections.
