Lunch & Learn with Dr. Robbie Lawlor
Join us at 1PM on Tuesday, 4 February at C Block in Blanchardstown Campus for an exciting event filled with fun and learning.
There will be FREE LUNCH provided for this event.
Dr. Robbie Lawlor is a prominent HIV activist in Ireland and actively contributes to several international health organisations. He is a member of the European AIDS Treatment Group and the UNITAID communities' delegation. As a co-founder of Access to Medicines Ireland and a co-host on the award-winning PozVibe Podcast, Robbie is deeply involved in pivotal discussions and policy campaigns aimed at enhancing health equity. He has a master's degree in Sexuality Studies and has earned his PhD from Dublin City University, where his qualitative research focused on HIV and Hepatitis C treatment activism in Ukraine. He is currently a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Galway, examining why STIs are rising in Ireland.

Free STI Testing on Campus – Drop In & Get Checked!
TU Dublin Students’ Union, in partnership with HIV Ireland, is bringing free STI testing clinics to campuses this February! No appointment needed—just drop in, get tested, and chat with the nursing team for info, treats, and games.

Free Home STI Testing with the HSE
Getting tested for STIs has never been easier! If you're 17 or older and living in the Republic of Ireland, you can order a free home STI test kit through the HSE’s SH:24 service. Here’s how it works:
- Order Your Kit – Visit sh24.ie to request your test. If kits aren’t available, check again the next morning. You’ll receive a text once your kit has been dispatched.
- Collect Your Samples – Your kit comes with everything you need, including easy-to-follow instructions and video guides. Need help? Just reply to any text from SH:24 to chat with their clinical team.
- Send It Back – Use the pre-paid envelope to return your samples to the lab. You’ll get a text when they arrive.
What does the Kit Test For?
The kit tests for Chlamydia, Gonorrhoea, HIV, and Syphilis, with optional testing for Hepatitis B and C if needed. " The information you give when you request the kit will decide which tests are sent to you Results will be sent to you by text, or you will receive a call.
