TU Dublin Students’ Union is hiring its Student Media Crew for the year!

Are you a creative and passionate TU Dublin student with a flair for media? Look no further! Each year, the Students' Union opens the application process for talented individuals like you to join the Student Media Crew. 

This exciting opportunity offers paid part-time work for current students interested in writing, editing, photography, videography, and more. As a member of the student media crew, you'll have the chance to showcase your skills, collaborate with like-minded peers, and contribute to the vibrant media landscape of our university community. Don't miss your chance to be part of something special. 

Process

  • Apply to join the Student Media Crew
  • Commissioned work offered on a closed group to all the members of the crew
  • Members of the crew to express interest then choose between them following relevant experience and equal repartition
  • Payment following receipt of invoice* 
    *If benefiting from a grant, please refer to your Social Welfare for terms and conditions when invoicing. 

Discipline

Commissioned work can be allocated by any member of staff or officer:

  • Writing/Editing
  • Graphic Design/Illustration
  • Photography
  • Videography
  • Motion Graphic
  • Vlog/Vox Pops

Requirements

The ideal candidate should:

  • Be a registered student of TU Dublin
  • Have an interest or experience in any media field (see duties)
  • Be punctual and reliable
  • Be polite and friendly in their dealings with others
  • Show initiative and the ability to self-direct within guidelines

How to apply?

Interested in joining the Crew? There are two steps to apply:

  1. Fill in this online form: https://forms.office.com/e/bakMfS7pwT before Monday 9th September 2024, by 9am. 
  2. Submit a relevant portfolio (min. 3 pieces) to media@tudublinsu.ie before Monday 9th September 2024, by 9am. Feel free to share links to videos or WeTransfer if you exceed 5 MB. 
  3. Short interviews will take place online on 13th September 2024. 

Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
